It is a Windows-based user friendly tool. Using this tool, you can resurrect missing files using the application’s manual mode or file-recovery wizard. The wizard narrows your search type to music, pictures, documents, video, etc. You can set the search location to everywhere on your computer. This tool uses red/yellow/green light system to show how likely the recovery of your files is.

This is a powerful tool for file recovery. This tool will get into your disks in a read-only and safe mode and ignore the file systems and partitions in order to find your missing data. This tool focuses on file types.

Restoration (Windows)

It is a small portable recovery tool. You can use it for Windows. It doesn’t contain some of the advanced features that the other tools contain. In offers basic file-name search.

Undelete Plus (Windows)

This app works on all versions of Windows. It assigns a recovery probability to files depending on the severity of the file damage. You can set filters based on item and size, sort files by types, etc.

Though the best protection against data loss is real-time backup, sometimes data loss will still occur. These tools are very helpful in recovering lost data.
